NT PRO BNP AS A DIAGNOSTIC MARKER OF HEART FAILURE

A seminar on NT Pro BNP as a diagnostic marker of Heart Failure was held on the 18th of August at King Edward Medical University Lahore, by the Trend Setter Doctors Members, under supervision of Department of Physiology, headed by Prof M. Akram and Department of Cardiology, headed by Prof Bilal Zakaria, organized by Dr. Mehr un Nisa of the Physiology Department, Hassan Aziz Baig, Naeem Majeed, Umar Butt and Sadia Javed, students of KEMU, in collaboration with Roche International. Prominent among the speakers was Dr. Irshad Hussein, Professor of Medicine, FJMC. Prof Mumtaz Hassan, VC KEMU, was the guest of honor. He appreciated the efforts of the students in conducting the research and organizing the seminar. The faculty and students of KEMU are determined to explore the latest facilities and techniques for the provision of healthcare to the ailing population of Pakistan.

The research is still under progress. TSDocs is offering material, logistic and moral support to the involved students, majority of whom are active members of the TSDocs.
